faq

1. What to expect when you come to see us??

Once you have decided the time is right to make a permanent change to your diet, we’ll book an appointment for you and then send you (email, fax or mail) a Nutritional Assessment Analysis, Client Health History and a 7-Day Diary Journal to be completed by you before seeing us.    Once completed, we ask that you email or fax back to us.  This allows Ideal Nutrition to get a head start on your nutrition assessment before meeting with you.

Your initial visit to a holistic nutritionist involves gathering lots of information about you. Typically the first visit is 90 minutes.  You will be asked many questions about yourself, your lifestyle, your illness and also about the health of your family, both past and present.   We will work together to look at patterns and habits to formalize  a plan that is tailored specifically for you.

2. What is the difference between a Nutritionist and a Dietician?

A nutritionist will in part consider the effects of  diet on the body as a whole whereas the dietician will respond according to western medicine and related standards.  Neither is right or wrong,  however the nutritionist is concerned with a balanced body which is more in line with both today’s nutritional technology and recognized traditional approaches.

3. Are you available to answer questions between appointments?

Yes, our services are fully available to you by phone or email throughout your program during normal business hours.  We’re here to answer your questions and support you.

4. What is Holistic Nutrition Therapy?

Holistic nutrition is a form of nutritional therapy that addresses the root cause of health imbalances. This form of therapy uses in-depth nutrition assessments to develop a tailor made program to meet each client’s unique nutrition and health needs.

Each client will receive an in-depth  nutritional symptomolgy and nutrient intake report showing areas of nutritional imbalances related to their health, under the guidance of a highly skilled nutrition expert.   Nutrition strategies will be suggested to correct for any imbalances.   Many health conditions can dramatically benefit with this form of nutritional therapy.
